The Jackson Symphony Guild is excited to bring you this year’s 16th Annual Night of Jazz & Blues on Friday, April 7th from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at the Country Club of Jackson. The event will bring back “Motor City Beat,” – this five-person group was so well received last year we asked them to return! 150 Years:    From Reading Room to Public Library.

The present Jackson District Library was established in 1977 with the consolidation of the Jackson Public Library and the Jackson County Library.

Another Man’s Treasure: Souvenirs & Memorabilia.  We all have them. They are displayed prominently on bookshelves and end tables, line the pages of scrapbooks, or hide tucked away in drawers. The Ella Sharp Museum has its own collection of souvenirs donated by our generous community over the years. Many of these items will be on exhibit in the Emmet Gallery January 17-April 11.


April 25th and 26th   The Annual Fairy Festival

April 25th and 26th   The Annual Fairy Festival is a free community event at ART 634 and Jackson School of the Arts. Activities include arts and crafts, face painting, tea with the Rose Queen, a walk through the Fairy Kingdom, performances, sweets and fairy related items for sale from many vendors and in Ye Ole Fairy Shoppe – Jackson School of the Arts 517-784-2389



Friday-Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.  The Ella Sharp Museum has partnered with the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) and has opened a prison museum in Cell Block 7 of the State Prison of Southern Michigan.

$15 – Adults  ,   $8 – Children 5-12,  FREE – Children 5 & under

$10 – Senior Citizens, Military personnel, Ella Sharp Museum members & Michigan Dept of Corrections Employees
