Jenna Elfman Welcomes Baby No. 2 
Jenna Elfman announced to fans via Twitter the birth of her second child. Easton Quinn Monroe Elfman was born last Tuesday. Elfman and her husband, Bodhi Elfman, also have a 2 1/2-year-old son, Story Elias.

Skateboarding Pioneer Bob Biniak Dies   Skateboarding pioneer Bob Biniak – featured in “Dogtown and Z-Boys” and “Lords of Dogtown” – died while visiting friends in Florida, according to his wife. He was 51. Biniak suffered a heart attack and died four days later, February 25th, at Baptist Medical Center Beaches in Jacksonville Beach. Biniak rose to fame as a member of the Zephyr Skate Team of Santa Monica, California, which also spawned skateboarding heroes such as Tony Alva.

Michael Lohan Suffers Chest Pains  Michael Lohan was hospitalized with chest pains and missed his celebrity boxing match in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Lindsay’s dad was preparing for his bout against Todd Poulton when he became ill Saturday. According to Lohan’s girlfriend, Kate Major, “He had chest pains all day and pains down his left arm.” An ambulance was called after Lohan failed his pre-fight physical due to high blood pressure. Lohan said yesterday morning that doctors told him he needed “tests and a procedure,” though he didn’t give any specifics. Major said Lohan has had previous heart trouble and will consult a cardiologist in New York this week.

‘Alice In Wonderland’ No. 1   Tim Burton and Johnny Depp’s 3-D trip down the rabbit hole drew huge crowds over the weekend. “Alice In Wonderland” earned a whopping $116.3 million in its opening weekend. That gave Walt Disney Studios the biggest opening for a 3D film ever – even better than “Avatar.” It was also Burton’s best opening and the sixth-biggest opening weekend ever, according Box Office Mojo. It is also the best performance by a non-sequel. Insiders had conservatively forecast an opening weekend of $75 million. The last movie to reach that level was “Avatar,” which opened at $77 million in December.

Pinkett Smith Reveals Dad’s Death  Jada Pinkett Smith broke down in tears at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood luncheon last Thursday after revealing her father died. The actress was presenting the Power Award to Queen Latifah when she broke down and told the star-studded audience about the passing of her father, Robsol Pinkett Jr., who died after suffering a heart attack a week earlier. The actress was unable to fight back the tears and had to stop her speech – prompting Latifah to step up and comfort her. Meanwhile Zoe Saldana was presented with the Rising Star award by “Avatar” director James Cameron and Gabourey Sidibe was honored for her role in “Precious.”

Tom Cruise In Motorcycle Crash   Tom Cruise was involved in a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles yesterday, narrowly avoiding injury according to HollywoodLife.com. Cruise was riding down a side street in Los Angeles when a car ran through a stop sign, causing the actor to run his bike into another car. Cruise was reportedly limping following the crash, but refused to be taken to the hospital.

Mel Gibson Selling Former Family Home   Mel Gibson is selling his former family home in Malibu for $14.5 million. The actor, who split from wife Robyn last year, held on to the 2.57-acre compound when he sold off several other Malibu properties in 2008. The main house has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a fruit orchard, organic garden, tennis court and swimming pool. The property also includes staff quarters, three guest houses and a detached gym. It is believed Robyn has continued living there after filing for divorce from Gibson, who recently had his eighth child with new partner Oksana Grigorieva.

D’Angelo Arrested For Solicitation  Grammy Award-winning singer D’Angelo has been arrested in New York for allegedly propositioning an undercover police officer. The singer was arrested Saturday after he allegedly offered a female cop $40 for oral sex. D’Angelo was charged with solicitation. A search of his Range Rover reportedly uncovered $12,000 in cash. The arrest comes as he records his third studio album, the first since 2000’s platinum-selling “Voodoo.”

Sparklehorse Star Linkous Commits Suicide  Sparklehorse singer-songwriter Mark Linkous has committed suicide, according to his family. The musician, thought to have been in his 40s, died on Saturday. No details about his death have been released, but relatives issued a statement claiming he took his own life. Linkous collaborated with Gnarls Barkley star Danger Mouse and film director David Lynch on the 2009 album “Dark Night of the Soul.” He also previously supported Radiohead on tour.

Vans Warped 15th Anniversary CD/DVD   The Vans Warped Tour 15th anniversary CD/DVD set will be released on March 30th. The release chronicles last fall’s Warped Tour birthday bash in Los Angeles, which included performances by Blink-182, Bad Religion, NOFX, Ice-T, All-American Rejects, and many more.

New Roots Release Date  The Roots’ new album, “How I Got Over,” has a new release date of June 8th. Originally due out last June, the band delayed its release to add new songs to the set. In addition to their new album, they’ve also been working at their other gig as the house band for “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” Meanwhile, the Roots’ third annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia will be held June 5th, with Vampire Weekend and Clipse also on the bill.

Ready To Rock Beale Street  The lineup for the eclectic Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis has been announced. Running April 30th – May 2nd, the festival features Alice In Chains, 3 Doors Down, The Flaming Lips, Limp Bizkit, Goo Goo Dolls, Widespread Panic, Five Finger Death Punch, Hall & Oates, The B-52’s, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Earth, Wind & Fire, and many more. Kid Rock In Court  Kid Rock was in a Los Angeles court on Friday to answer assault charges over allegations he attacked three fans in 2006. A lawsuit claims Rock and six members of the group the Boo-Yaa Tribe attacked Michael Medlin, Jose Perez and Carlos Bonilla after they asked for autographs at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. The three filed a liability suit against Rock in 2008 seeking $15 million in damages. In court, Rock denied any wrongdoing and added claims he growled, “Who wants a piece of me next?” during the alleged brawl was a lie because he wouldn’t say anything so “corny.” The case continues today.

Burglary Call From Jackson Estate False Alarm  Armed cops swooped down on the Jackson family estate in Encino, California, on Friday, responding to a burglary-in-progress call. Officers with shotguns swarmed the family home of Katherine Jackson following a 911 call. Five cops searched the home for a suspected burglar while a police helicopter circled overhead. However, the call was a false alarm. It’s not known if any of the Jackson family was at home during the raid.

Slash Teams With ‘Dora The Explorer’  Slash is designing a “Dora The Explorer” backpack for charity. The Velvet Revolver star has teamed up with Nickelodeon to help launch a series of limited edition celebrity-designed bags, which will be auctioned off this summer to raise money for the Children’s Defense Fund. Shakira and Salma Hayek will also contribute to the project. A limited number of backpacks will go on sale in several countries including the U.S., Britain, Canada, France and Spain. Proceeds will benefit childhood education programs in each respective country.

Chris Brown To Read To Harlem Students  Chris Brown will participate in a program to read to students at a Harlem charter school. The singer accepted an invitation to read to kids at Sisulu-Walker Charter School’s annual Family Read Night. The event will take place on November 20th. The program is designed to help encourage students to read. School officials and parents are eager to welcome Brown, who is on probation for a domestic violence conviction.
