LENAWEE COUNTY, MI – The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating a fatal accident that occurred shortly after 4 am on Sunday morning.
Upon arrival at the scene, authorities found a single vehicle had left the road at a high rate of speed, hitting a tree on US-12 in Franklin Township that left the 21 year old driver from Onsted in critical condition, and the passenger, a 27 year old from Brooklyn dead on impact. No names have been released by authorities pending a full investigation.
The crash remains under investigation with the Michigan State Police assisting the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Department.
