Statewide tornado drill Wednesday at 1 p.m.

Jackson, Michigan — It’s Severe Weather Awareness Week, and today is a voluntary statewide drill. At 1 p.m., outdoor sirens will be tested. TV and radio stations may be airing a test message, so don’t be alarmed.

Michigan averages 15 tornados a year and state officials say this is a good opportunity to review your family’s emergency plan in case of a tornado.
