Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — It has been more than two weeks since the major structure fire that left the Thayer Marine building on U.S. 127 a total loss. While the damage that was done was a gut punch to the company, they certainly have no plans to pack it up and call it a day.
That was made clear by Chris Thayer during his appearance on A.M. Jackson, where he said Thayer Marine plans to rebuild “bigger and better.”

He also clarified the events that led up to the fire, which investigators have determined was started by an early morning lightning strike.

Despite the setback, Thayer Marine is still pushing on, and has plenty of current operations taking place if you are looking for their business.
