Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Michigan State Police (MSP) has released details regarding a fatal crash involving pedestrians following a road rage incident that occurred in late November.
On November 28, at approximately 6:07 p.m., troopers from the MSP Jackson Post responded to a crash involving a single vehicle and two pedestrians near M-60 and N. Main Street.
MSP’s preliminary investigation showed that two vehicles were involved in a road rage incident.
The drivers of the vehicles, a 22-year-old Concord man and a 24-year-old Parma man, pulled onto the shoulder of the roadway and exited their vehicles. The two subjects then began to fight in the road.
While they were in the roadway, a pickup truck driven by a 62-year-old Hanover man hit both subjects.
Both men were transported to Henry Ford Hospital, where the 22-year-old Concord man was pronounced deceased from injuries sustained in the crash.
The Parma man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver of the pickup truck was not injured. Authorities do not believe that alcohol or drugs were factors for any of the drivers involved.
The investigation remains ongoing, and MSP says no further information will be released at this time.
MSP received assisted at the scene by the Concord Fire Department, Spring Arbor Fire Department, and Jackson Community Ambulance.
