There will be no Civil War Muster in Jackson for 2019. The event was relocated from Cascades Falls Park to Ella Sharp Park in 2018.

According to a press release from the Jackson Civil War Society, they plan to return in 2020.

“This decision was not arrived at lightly. For 34 years, the Jackson Civil War Muster has brought history to life in Jackson, MI. We realize the Muster is an eagerly anticipated annual event and we will be working hard to make positive changes that will breathe new life into the Muster, ensuring that our 35th year will be the grandest ever, as well as to ensure its longevity for years to come.

We would like to thank those who have attended, sponsored and participated in the Muster over the course of 34 years and only hope you share in the excitement as we re-group to make this event even better, beginning in 2020. We also encourage your input and participation.

While we regret the need to take a year off, we find it necessary to do so in order to ensure the future of the event.”
