Over the course of the summer, K-105.3 will be visiting Jackson area attractions and showing you how much there is to experience right here in our own backyard. The only way we’re able to leave the office in the middle of the day and be able to share our amazing adventures with you is because of the support of Experience Jackson and Emmons Service, Inc. so a huge shoutout to them.

Bikes we rented at the Weatherwax trailhead

We started today with one of Jackson’s very own brightest gems – the Falling Waters Trail.  This is about a ten & a half mile long paved trail, placed right where the Michigan Central Railroad once stood. It connects Jackson to the Village of Concord and stretches through some beautiful scenery along the way, like trees, water, wetlands and wildlife. It’s something you can come back to again throughout the seasons and see something new each time.

One of our favorite features is the bike rental provided by Hurst Electric, Experience Jackson and On Two Wheels. We rented a couple of bikes at the Weatherwax Rd. trailhead and took off! So if you don’t have – or can’t bring – a bike to the trail, it’s just $6 for 3 hours and these are great bikes for anyone. Trust us… we hadn’t ridden in years and they were a piece of cake.

Because of our visit here today, we’re inspired to come back more often with family and friends – and hope you do too.

You can learn more about the Falling Waters Trail on the Experience Jackson website and at Jackson County Parks. Check out our video!
