A 13 year-old Traverse City girl was arrested after allegedly stabbing her mother in the back.
Friday, December 4th, the girl’s mother called 911 from a locked bedroom to report that she had just been stabbed in the back by her daughter.
Soon after, a Traverse City police officer saw a girl running down the street without shoes. The officer was able to quickly detain the teenager.
When police arrived to the home, they found that the 32 year-old mother had two knives in her back.
The mother was sent to the hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.
The girl is currently lodged in a juvenile detention facility.
