Jackson, Mich. — Both directions of Lansing Avenue between W. Ganson and W. North Street will be closed Wednesday, November 2 for tree removal.
The City of Jackson says a complete shutdown of the street is necessitated by sizeable dead trees posing a significant risk to utilities, drivers, pedestrians, and homes.
Crews plan to complete the work in one day, with a projected reopening Wednesday evening.
The City of Jackson advises drivers to seek alternate routes around the closure, and to watch the City website and Facebook page for updates.
