The National Weather Service (NWS) Grand Rapids has issued both a Cold Weather Advisory and a Winter Weather Advisory this week. Here are the details:
Cold Weather Advisory
- In effect until Noon EST Wednesday 1/22/25
- Wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes
Winter Weather Advisory
- In effect until 7 p.m. EST Tuesday 1/21/25
- Additional snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches
- Visibility and road conditions may change rapidly over short distances
- Plan on slippery road conditions
