Share: Copied!

Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Vandercook Lake Public Schools has a 30-year, $19.9 million bond proposal on the November ballot to address aging facilities and infrastructure needs, some of them needing to be dealt with within the next year.

District Superintendent Melissa Bradfield discussed the district’s most critical needs that the bond would address if passed.

There are other areas of need for the schools in the Vandercook Lake district according to Superintendent Bradfield, including compliance with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements on handicap accessibility.

There will also be an information meeting at Vandercook High School on Tuesday, October 28, at 6:00 p.m. in the library for those who are interested in learning more about the bond proposal.

More information about the proposal, including a tax calculator to see how the bond would impact residents in the area, can be found by clicking here.
