JACKSON — Three men are facing charges in connection with a quadruple shooting that left one man dead and three others injured earlier this year in Jackson County.
Authorities say Anthony Owens Junior was killed in the shooting. He was the son of Wanda Beavers, widely known in the community as Mama Tu-Tu.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the suspects are charged with open murder, assault with intent to murder, multiple felony firearms counts, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Their names have not been released because they are not yet in custody.
Investigators say the shooting happened just after midnight on May seventeenth at a home on Lincoln Court, just south of the Jackson city limits. Three suspects reportedly approached the house on foot and opened fire on people sitting on the porch, then fled before deputies arrived.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Jackson County detectives.
