Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will have single-lane closures of I-94 Business Loop / Louis Glick Highway in Jackson between Mechanic Street and Jackson Street for bridge maintenance beginning on Tuesday (March 24).
MDOT says this project will require the closure and detour of eastbound I-94 BL / Louis Glick Highway. One lane will be open on westbound I-94 BL / Louis Glick Highway.
The project has an estimated end time of the Fall of this year according to MDOT.
The goal of the work is for these improvements to provide increased safety and mobility in this area of Jackson.
Based on MDOT’s economic modeling, this $12 million investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 102 jobs.
