Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Jeremy Patterson is set to take over as Jackson Public Schools’ Superintendent in June. Patterson is a 1993 JPS graduate who has also worked in the district for much of his career. He said keeping the position in the Viking family was important.
Patterson said he had a lot of great mentors along the way who helped him get to this position.
With a variety of issues the district is going to be facing, including budgetary, staffing, and a bond proposal coming in 2026, we asked the new Superintendent why he wanted this job.
