Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Drivers in Jackson County should plan for possible delays this weekend on U.S. 127.

The Michigan Department of Transportation has approved a permit for Kent Power to perform utility work on Sunday, July 20. Crews will be working between Page Avenue and East South Street from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.

During that time, intermittent lane closures will be in place to protect both workers and drivers. The Michigan State Police will handle traffic control throughout the project.

MDOT officials are urging motorists to slow down, stay alert, and be prepared for temporary backups in the work zone.
