Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Drivers in Jackson County should prepare for weekend ramp closures on U.S. 127 and I-94.
Starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, July 26, the Michigan Department of Transportation will begin high-friction surface treatment on northbound U.S. 127 ramp to westbound I-94. The work is expected to wrap up by 7 p.m. Sunday, July 27.
During that time, the ramp will be closed, and drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
MDOT says the $583,000 project is aimed at providing safety and creating a smoother ride. Crews say closing the ramp is necessary to protect both workers and drivers during the repairs.
