Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Jackson College is inviting families to explore the wonders of space during its Meteor Shower Hour on Friday, August 9th at 8 p.m.
The event will be held in Room 151 of James McDivitt Hall on the college’s Central Campus and features a presentation by Observatory Coordinator Travis Marlow. Guests will learn what meteors are, where they come from, and how to spot them in the sky.
The evening includes live demonstrations, a hands-on craft activity, and if the weather cooperates, a chance to observe the night sky through the college’s astronomical observatory.
Space is limited to 25 guests and registration is required. To sign up or learn more, visit the website linked below.
