Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) says they will close westbound I-94 at the Airport Road bridge in Jackson on Friday night (September 26) for a partial bridge demolition to replace beams damaged by a high-load strike on April 11.

This is part of the work that began on September 23 that closed northbound Airport Road over I-94.

MDOT says this portion of work will require closing westbound I-94 Friday night beginning at around 8 p.m. for demolition/removal of the damaged beams on the Airport Road bridge, and is expected to wrap up on Saturday morning at 9 o’clock.

Drivers should expect delays and are advised to take alternate routes.
