SUMMIT TOWNSHIP, Michigan — Authorities have arrested a second suspect in connection with a deadly shooting that happened last spring in Jackson County.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says 27-year-old Montez White was taken into custody in Ohio. White is accused in the May murder of Anthony Owens Junior. His arrest comes about two weeks after deputies announced the arrest of another suspect, 28-year-old Tyrek Tra-Quan Jabrie Rice, who was also located in Ohio.

Investigators are still searching for a third suspect, 26-year-old Dion Flowers Junior, who remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.

The shooting happened just after midnight on May 16 at a home in the 100 block of Lincoln Court in Summit Township. Authorities say three suspects opened fire on a group gathered on a porch, striking four people. Owens later died at the hospital.

All three suspects face multiple felony charges. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
