A long-time Jackson County senior living community could soon become part of a larger nonprofit network.
The board of directors at Vista Grande Villa has approved an affiliation agreement with Ohio-based Otterbein SeniorLife. If finalized, the Jackson facility would become a wholly owned subsidiary of the nonprofit organization.
Both boards have approved the deal, which now moves into a regulatory and procedural review process. Leaders say the partnership would provide Vista Grande Villa with additional operational resources and support while maintaining its current leadership, staff, and commitment to resident care.
Vista Grande Villa Executive Director Chelsea Eisele says the affiliation is designed to strengthen the community’s long-term stability while preserving the culture that residents and staff value.
Once approvals are complete, the facility would be renamed the Otterbein Jackson SeniorLife Community.
Vista Grande Villa opened in 1971 on a 22-acre campus in Jackson. Otterbein SeniorLife, based in Lebanon, Ohio, serves about 10,000 people each year through senior living, rehabilitation, home health, and hospice services.
