Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) says they will begin rebuilding M-99 from South Street to Gibbs Road in Springport beginning March 23.
MDOT states that the work is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. on that day, and that this project will require intermittent lane and shoulder closures.
The project has an estimated end time of November of this year, with this $6 million investment expected to directly and indirectly support 51 jobs.
The purpose of the work is to make improvements that will provide increased safety and mobility in this portion of the Springport area.
Drivers are advised to expect delays in the work zone while the project is being completed.
