Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Authorities with the Jackson Police Department (JPD) are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on Thursday.
According to the department, officers were dispatched to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and East Wilkins Street on the afternoon of March 26.
Officers located several casings in the area, and a stolen firearm was recovered on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
The JPD says that they have identified two male suspects in relation to the incident, and did not release any further details about them to the public at this time.
Jackson Police Chief Chris Simpson confirmed with WKHM that the incident, which began as a fight, did not result in any injuries.
The lead investigator from the JPD on the case is Detective Steven Brooks.
