Warrant Authorized for Suspect in Relation to Biddle Street Shooting

Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — A warrant for three counts of assault with intent to murder has been authorized by the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office on 22-year-old Alaysia Marie Johnson in relation to a fight that escalated to a shooting on Biddle Street this past weekend.

Jackson Police Chief Christopher Simpson has announced that all victims remain in stable condition, and three of the four victims have been released from the hospital.

At around 3:40 p.m. on May 9, officers from the JPD were dispatched to the area for what authorities described as a fight that resulted in the shooting.

Officers arrived at the scene and located four shooting victims. Three of them were transported to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital by Jackson Community Ambulance, and one of the victims transported themselves to the hospital.

A 21-year-old Jackson man suffered two gunshot wounds to his chest and one in his arm. Officials say he’s in stable condition.

A 28-year-old Jackson man suffered a gunshot wound to his face and one to his arm. Officials say he is also in stable condition.

A 25-year-old Jackson woman suffered a gunshot wound to the pelvis area and was sent to have critical surgery.

A 23-year-old Jackson woman suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and is said to be in stable condition.
