At its Tuesday night meeting the Jackson City Council approved a contract to hire Matthew Hagerty as the new City Attorney. Hagerty is a graduate of Michigan State University and currently resides in Pinckney. He has been working in law for the past 16 years in Livingston County, most recently as a senior attorney in private practice. Hagerty also has served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Brighton. His first day on the job will be January 2nd.
