Tuesday night at City Hall members of the Jackson City Council were sworn in.  Derek Dobies. Will Forgrave, Laura Dwyer-Schlecte, and Freddie Dancy each won their respective elections in November and took their oath of office before a full house in City Council chambers.

The City Council held a brief meeting following the ceremony.  The lone item on the agenda was to approve the 2020 meeting schedule.  Dwyer-Schlecte proposed changing the start time for council meetings from 6:30 to 6:00 PM.  The motion had no support and the schedule was approved with no changes.
