Parma Township, Mich. — In July of 2021, a multi-vehicle crash on I-94 at mile marker 135 killed Erica Kas of Hillsdale. It was determined the driver was 41-year-old Jacquelyn Shepherd, who was traveling the wrong way on I-94 and struck four other vehicles. Kas was pronounced dead at the scene, and others were transported to the hospital for injuries.
Shepherd, the wrong-way driver, has now been found guilty of reckless driving and operating while intoxicated, and is expected back in court June 14.
