WHAT…Heavy snow in excess of 8 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph.

WHERE…Portions of central, south central, southwest and west central Michigan.

WHEN…From Friday morning through Saturday afternoon.

IMPACTS…Travel could become very difficult. Widespread blowing snow may significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches and cause power outages.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Bitter cold Arctic air and additional heavy lake effect snow will follow this system. Hazardous winter weather will likely continue through the remainder of the weekend into early next week.
