The 2019 Amanda J. Mierzwa Memorial Fund announced their scholarship winners yesterday.
Eight young women from Jackson County High Schools were honored with scholarship dollars in memory of Mierzwa, a neuroscientist who was raised and educated in Jackson County. To qualify for the scholarship, women must have graduated from a Jackson County high school, and major in a STEM discipline at the University of Michigan.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Rachel Rudd – Columbia Central Class of 2017 – $1,500
Alexandra Nelson – Lumen Christi Class of 2017 – $1,000
Phoebe Miller – Grass Lake Class of 2018 – $1,000
Madison Maynard – Grass Lake Class of 2018 – $1,000
Karsen McCord – Lumen Christi Class of 2018 – $1,000
Olivia Rodriguez – Western High School Class of 2018 – $750
