
Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Jackson City Council will be holding a special meeting on Tuesday (August 26) at 6 p.m. on the 2nd floor of City Hall for the purpose of conducting interviews with candidates for City Treasurer.
The position was left vacant after the passing of Marty Griffin. The City has until 60 days after that time to appoint a replacement to serve the remainder of the current term, which lasts until December of 2028.
The list of candidates scheduled to be interviewed are:

• Vittoria Jimerson
• Nanette Muntin
• Rohn Sharloe
• Jonathan Williams
Citizen comment is scheduled to be held following the interviews before City Council considers appointing a treasurer.
The Council approved a 3% pay increase for the position during their August 19 meeting for a total of $100,961.61 per year. Identical pay increases were approved for the positions of Mayor ($15,192.50/year) and City Council ($10,403.00/year).
