A car fire on I-96 in Lansing sent one person to the hospital and shut traffic down for over 3 hours, Saturday.
Emergency crews responded to the burning Lincoln MKZ on eastbound I-96 near the 104 mile marker at around 5:30PM.
The 36 year-old driver was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say that the car left the highway and into a ditch before it became engulfed in flames.
The incident remains under investigation.
