In a press release from Center for Family Health on March 13, they are enacting steps to address concerns about COVID-19 in Jackson County.

As of March 13th at 5pm, there have not been any reported cases of COVID-19 in Jackson County, but preparing for that possibility is part of the CFH mission as a community health center.

To reduce the number of locations where sick people may gather, all three Center for Family Health school centers at Jackson Public Schools sites will close Monday, March 16th, until further notice. Those sites are at Northeast Elementary School, the Middle School at Parkside, and Jackson High School.

The Northwest Community Health Center, a school health center at R.W. Kidder Middle School, will remain open.

Patients and community members who suspect they may be sick with COVID-19 are asked to call CFH at (517) 748-5500 before seeking treatment in person.
