Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — During his most recent appearance on AM Jackson, U.S. Congressman Tim Walberg condemned the actions that have taken place during nationwide protests ahead of the No Kings protest that happened in Jackson this past Saturday.
Congressman Walberg also voted in favor of a Rescission Act that passed in the Federal House that would codify $9.4 billion in cuts by the Department of Government Efficiency. $8.3 billion is related to foreign aid spending, while the remaining $1.1 billion cut is of federal funding for the Corporation of Public Broadcasting, which allocates funds to NPR and PBS. Walberg says he anticipates the legislation will pass in the Senate.
Congressman Walberg also spoke about the recent strikes that Israel and Iran have made against each other, saying that America is willing to stand with its allies if necessary.
