Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Plans for a new country music festival in Lenawee County have been pushed back a year. The Country Roads Music festival, originally scheduled for July 18-20 at the The Groves campground in the Irish Hills near Michigan International Speedway (MIS), has been postponed until 2026.
Darci Keyes, owner of The Groves, says the decision was made due to lower-than-expected ticket sales. She said organizers want to launch the event right away, with enough support to build a lasting tradition. “We want year one to be strong enough that people tell their friends and keep coming back,” she said.
The festival was created earlier this year as a smaller, laid-back alternative to the now-canceled 2025 Faster Horses Festival, which has previously brought top country stars to MIS.
Country Roads had planned to feature Colt Ford, Drew Baldridge, and Restless Road, along with bonfire jams, line dancing, and a 3k fun run.
Festival organizers say all tickets will be fully refunded automatically.
