Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Two people strolling in the woods on their property discovered a shocking scene South of M-60 near McCain Road on Sunday, February 25, 2024. They came across a wrecked vehicle with one deceased occupant inside, which according to officials, had “been there for an extended period of time.”

The occupant was a 33-year-old man believed to be from Eaton Rapids, according to deputies, whom they believe lost control of the vehicle on a curve and crashed into the wooded area, which was not visible from the roadway.

Drug use may have played a role in this crash. An investigation is underway.
