
Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Jackson’s Annual Juneteenth Celebration and Resource Fair is happening this Saturday downtown at Horace Blackman Park, beginning with the opening of the Kid-Zone and the start of the Michigan Works Job Fair at 2 p.m. Welcoming ceremonies begin at 3 o’clock. Event organizer John Willis told WKHM that there will be an abundance of vendors to check out on June 21.
Starting at 4 p.m., following the scholarship awards, live musical acts will get going featuring talent local to Jackson, the state of Michigan, and beyond.
R&B artist Q Parker will be a part of the Juneteenth Celebration’s main act.
Another Saturday night festivity in Jackson will be actor and comedian Tommy Davidson and friends performing live comedy at Michigan Theatre. The scheduled start time is 9 o’clock, and doors open at 8.
