Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — A multiple-vehicle collision caused multiple fatalities on Wednesday morning in Liberty Township according to authorities with Michigan State Police (MSP). Photographs of the crash that were taken showed that there were multiple vehicles on fire in the aftermath.

According to MSP, troopers from the Jackson Post were investigating the double fatal crash as both lanes of the expressway were shut down for hours. Authorities say more information will follow as it is made available.
