Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — On the morning of Friday, May 30, authorities in Jackson responded to westbound I-94 near Parma Road for a four vehicle crash involving three semi-trucks and a pickup.
One semi-truck failed to yield to slowing traffic and collided with the others.
Police say the at-fault driver was pinned in and needed to be extricated. The crash caused a traffic backup that lasted for multiple hours.
Two subjects were transported to Henry Ford Hospital with one sustaining critical injuries. As a result of the crash, a large amount of fluids flowed into the drains and nearby river causing a response from environmental cleanup.
