The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), Habitat for Humanity Michigan and the Consumers Energy Foundation were all on hand at the home of Elisabeth Bowler of Jackson, who was a beneficiary of the Habitat Home Repair Program. Sandy Pearson is president of Habitat Michigan:

MSHDA made a donation of one million dollars to Habitat Michigan, while the Consumers Energy Foundation donated $200,000. Tanya Young is with MSHDA:

Bowler received some critical home repairs. While working on a roof repair, it was discovered she had a dangerous carbon monoxide leak that was handled with the help of the project.
