Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Part of the festivities of the Jackson County Fair week come with the involvement of local 4-H kids and families, including the animals they bring along for the large and small animal and auctions. 4-H Auction Coordinator Teresa Choate says that while the kids know that these animals are up for sale, it can still be tough to see them go.

The auctions are not the only thing that 4-H has going on during the fair, as Teresa told WKHM about showings that are happening throughout fair week, and how judges approach them.

For anyone who wants to become involved in either the upcoming large animal or small animal auctions, the information you are looking for can be heard in the audio clip below. You can also email jcfauctions@gmail.com to contact 4-H officials.

A full schedule for 4-H and the fair itself can be found at jacksoncountyfair.net, which is accessible by clicking here.
