Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Jackson Fire Department (JFD) will be hosting an open house at their fire station on 518 N Jackson Street on Saturday October 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Fire Inspector Tyler Whitehead, who was recently named Inspector of the Year by the Michigan Fire Inspectors Society, told WKHM what attendees can expect to find at the event as part of its festivities.
The JFD will be seeing visitors from other agencies within the city and Jackson County, and the open house will also get a treat courtesy of Jackson Public Schools and their e-bus fleet.
Inspector Whitehead says that the best part of the event is seeing the citizens of the community gather with local fire and EMS crews, law enforcement, and each other.
