Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Jackson Interfaith Shelter’s (JIS) annual Summer Block Party is coming up on Saturday, July 19, taking place in front of the shelter on Blackstone Street and officially starting at 11 a.m. Steve Castle with the Interfaith Shelter joined A.M. Jackson to say that this event began as a thank you to Jackson, and remains as such to this day.

Castle detailed a few of the activities that will be going on from eleven to two o’clock along with the general feeling of a good time.

The Summer Block Party will also be a good chance for the community to see how the shelter benefits Jackson, and how Jackson’s commitment to JIS is making an impact.

More information about the shelter, including donation and volunteer opportunities, can be found at interfaithshelter.com.
