Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — A 61-year-old Jackson man has been arrested by authorities with the Jackson Police Department (JPD) for accosting and soliciting a child for immoral purposes.

According to the JPD activity report, an officer responded to Beverly Park Place and South West Avenue for a suspicious situation report on Wednesday, September 17. That was when charges were sought on the 61-year-old man for soliciting a minor.

The following day (Thursday, September 18), that same officer and a sergeant responded to the 700 block of Beverly Park Place to conduct a follow-up on that report. According to the JPD, the 61-year-old man was arrested for accosting and soliciting a child for immoral purposes.

Records from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office show that 61-year-old Coy Clifford Holt was lodged on September 18 at approximately 1:09 p.m. for alleged 4th degree criminal sexual conduct.

According to the Michigan Sex Offender Registry, Holt has been a registered sex offender since 1990 following a conviction of 1st degree criminal sexual conduct (person under 13). That conviction came from the 21st Circuit Court in Isabella County.
