Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — A 63-year-old Jackson man suffered serious injuries in a crash on Monday night after another driver ran a red light.
Police say the incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. on August 25 at N West Avenue and Wildwood Avenue. Investigators believe a southbound vehicle on N West ran a light and struck a car heading west on Wildwood. The impact threw the 63-year-old driver from his vehicle.
He was rushed to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital with multiple injuries. Police say the other driver, a 57-year-old woman, was not hurt and was not taken into custody at the scene.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team gathered evidence, and the Jackson Police Department says the case will be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for possible charges of driving while intoxicated causing injury.
