
Eaton Rapids, Mich. (WKHM) — Authorities with the Michigan State Police (MSP) report that on Tuesday, August 19, at approximately 11:30 a.m., troopers from the MSP Lansing Post responded to a traffic crash at the intersection of Waverly Road and Plains Highway.
Police say their preliminary investigation indicates that a semi-truck driven by a 36-year-old man from Kalkaska was traveling northbound on Waverly Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign.
The semi-truck then collided with a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan traveling westbound on Plains Highway, which was being driven by a 42-year-old woman from Jackson.
The semi-truck driver was transported to Eaton Rapids Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver from Jackson sustained multiple serious injuries and was transported to University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Hospital for treatment.
She was recently reported to be in serious but stable condition. Officials say the crash remains under investigation.
