Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Jackson County Department of Transportation (JCDOT) has announced lane closures and new traffic patterns on Lansing Avenue and Parnall Road that are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 8. These are expected to be taking place through Friday, November 15 of this year.

JCDOT says the closure is necessary to complete the installation and enhancement of non-motorized trail infrastructure as part of the Mike Levine Lakelands Trail network expansion. This project aims to connect communities with alternative transportation options, and provide safer pedestrian and bicycle access to improve the regional trail system.

According to the department, all local businesses and residential driveways will remain open and accessible during construction. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, and detour signs will not be posted.

For further updates and inquiries, JCDOT can be contacted by calling 517-788-4230.
