Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Drivers in Jackson County should be prepared for delays on U.S. 127 this week as bridge maintenance begins near Jefferson Road. Starting at 7 a.m. Tuesday, one lane in each direction on U.S. 127 will be closed over the Grand River. In addition, the west leg of Jefferson Road, between Gates Road and U.S. 127, will be shut down.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says the work is part of more than 80 road projects happening across the state this week, all weather-dependent. Drivers are reminded to slow down and follow posted signage in all work zones.
A full map of road closures is available on MDOT’s website.
