Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Officer Johnson with the Jackson Police Department was given praise by the Jackson Public Schools Middle School at Parkside’s Facebook page after he stepped in to perform the Heimlich maneuver on a child who was choking on their lunch. The child ended up fine, and Parkside expressed their gratitude saying they couldn’t thank Officer Johnson enough. The JPD said he knew exactly what to do in a scary situation.
