Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Optimist Ice Arena in Jackson is set to host the 2025 Battle of the Badges hockey tournament on Saturday, November 8, in support of fundraising efforts to benefit Special Olympics.

Organizer Aaron Lashley spoke with WKHM about the event and the formatting of the tournament.

Lashley says that the event is looking to add even more activity in the future, and that the hope is that this becomes an annual event in Jackson.

The 2025 Battle of the Badges is certainly not short on its own supply of fun, and the atmosphere consisting of entertaining hockey for a great cause is sure to make Optimist Ice Arena a great spot to be at on November 8.

Donations and sponsor opportunities can be found on the QR codes on the flyers below. Entry into the event is free, with donations encouraged at the door along with other fundraising efforts throughout the event.
