Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Marc W. Daly) — Lloyd Ganton, founder of the Ye Ole Carriage Shop in Spring Arbor, received the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the Jackson County Michigan Historical Society’s 4th Annual Banquet on December 5.

The award, presented by Society President Maurice Imhoff on behalf of President Joe Biden, recognizes Ganton’s over 4,000 hours of volunteer work preserving Jackson’s auto industry history.

His museum houses 18 of 24 known Jackson-made cars, alongside other rare artifacts, showcasing the region’s historical contributions. Ganton’s dedication has made a lasting impact on the community, inspiring pride in local heritage.
